Konstanz

Organ of the St. Stefans church in Konstanz (1997): Details

The register courses are put on in vertical relays to the works. The individual courses were arranged due to sound families, e.g. Principale, flutes, aliquots and tongues, whereby with a handle easy three registers can be consulted at one time. Appels for Principale, mixtures and tongues means a further play assistance, which are helpful particularly during the playing of French-romantic organ music.

By the implementation of an interaction with the couples, which can be switched with footsteps or courses in the manual cheeks, additional playing assistances are available. Thanks to a "hanging Traktur" the kind of play is very pleasant and reacts very sensitive  on all manuals. Also with coupled manuals the organ can be played pleasantly. The entire keyboard is well-thought and of best execution, so that the player gets along very fast at the keyboard and must make no compromises with the registration of large organ works despite the purely mechanical plant.
